PHOENIX — The Peoria Police Department with assistance from the FBI and other Valley law enforcement agencies arrested a Glendale man accused of robbing two banks and a jewelry store, authorities said on Tuesday.
Avery Lawrence Lowe, 30, faces multiple charges of robbery and armed robbery for his suspected connection with two bank robberies in Phoenix on April 13 and a jewelry store robbery on May 6, the FBI said in a press release.
Nobody was physically injured during the robberies, authorities said.
Lowe was taken into custody at his Glendale home without incident, the FBI said.
The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force was assisted in the case by police departments from Phoenix, Peoria and Glendale, along with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, authorities said.
“This task force was created to provide a solid foundation to addressing violent crime in Phoenix and its surrounding areas,” the FBI said in the release.
“(Tuesday’s) arrest is a prime example of local and federal agencies working together to conduct seamless and coordinated investigations to help keep our communities safe.”
