PHOENIX– The inaugural ChicagoFest West festival is coming to the Mesa Convention Center to celebrate one of the nation’s most populated cities.

The festival takes place on Saturday, March 19 and celebrates the music, food and sports history of Chicago during Spring Training to attract many Chicagoans who live locally, according to a press release.

Visitors can enjoy Chicago dogs, deep dish pizza or try White Castle hamburgers with a Chicago beer in hand.

Other activities include a hot dog eating contest, cornhole tournament, a Kid Zone with chalk artists, face painting and a bounce house, according to the release.

The festival will take place from 2-9:30 p.m.

Visitors can also purchase VIP tickets for an opportunity to meet former Chicago Bears quarterback Jim McMahon Friday, March 18 from 6-10 p.m.

A silent and live auction will be included to raise additional funds for College Bound AZ’s education programs, according to the release.
