PHOENIX — Around 1,500 classic and collector vehicles are expected to cross the block at the fourth annual Mecum Auction at State Farm Stadium in Glendale this month.
The event takes place from March 16-19 and represents the largest lineup to date, according to a press release.
General admission tickets can be bought online for $20 per day until March 15, or at the door for $30. Children age 12 and under get in for free. Doors open at 8 a.m. each day, with the auction getting underway at 10 a.m.
Bidder registration is available online or at the door for $200, which includes admission for two people to all four days of the auction. Remote bidding is also available, with options for both online and telephone bidding.
The Marty Nelson Collection of 20 vehicles is one of the headliners of the event, according to the release, which includes a 1958 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe Deville, a 1957 Buick Special Convertible, a 1956 Ford F100 pickup and a trio of Chevrolet corvettes from different decades.
The Jim Osterman Collection of 10 cars, which has a pair of Chevrolet Bel Air convertibles from the 1950s, will also be available, in addition to the Triple B Collection of vehicles that features a 1970 Chevrolet Impala Kingswood Wagon, a 1988 Chevrolet K5 Blazer and several models from the Ford Mustang family.
People can also bid on a selection of rare vehicles, like the 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta, which is just one of 499 produced, as well as one of the 49 Lamborghini Murcielago roadsters produced and a 1996 Lamborghini Diablo VT roadster that is one of only 12 produced for the U.S. market.
A 2006 Ford GT previously owned by NFL Hall of Famer John Elway is also up for bid, along with a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback that is known as the Sin City Shaker due to its 427 CI SOHC “Cammer” V-8 engine.
A complete list of cars for auction can be viewed online.
More than 200 neon signs will also be available to bid on.
The event netted $42.3 million in sales last year, with more than 700 cars finding new owners.
