PHOENIX — Arizona’s two largest public universities are ranked in the top 10 for 2022 by U.S. News and World Report for multiple online bachelor’s programs.

Arizona State ranked No. 6 in best online bachelor’s programs, while UArizona tied with two schools for No. 7 in the annual report, which was released Tuesday.

A total of 361 schools were judged on four weighted categories — engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinion.

ASU performed well in faculty credentials and training, ranking No. 27. UArizona’s engagement rank of No. 12 helped push the Tucson university into the top 10 for the second consecutive year.

Both schools finished with the same overall ranking as 2021.

“The University of Arizona strives to provide top-notch educational opportunities for all students throughout the world,” UArizona President Robert Robbins said in a press release.

“Our consistently excellent performance in these rankings confirms our place among the nation’s best online education providers and exemplifies our longstanding commitment to educational flexibility and accessibility.”

Both universities were also rated in the top 5 in online bachelor’s programs for veterans, with ASU at No. 3 and UArizona at No. 4.

ASU had 23 online programs finish in the top 10, including first-place rankings for best online bachelor’s in business programs and best online master’s in educational administration programs.

UArizona finished with 10 online programs in the top 10. Its highest-rated program was No. 2 for best online master’s in computer information technology programs for veterans.
