PHOENIX — Arizona native Gordon Golding was arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force members on Friday on 43 counts of multiple offenses of sexual conduct with a minor, voyeurism, and sexual abuse of a minor on top of failing to appear for sentencing, said U.S. Marshals.
Golding met young teenage girls as a kickboxing instructor, and according to court records, would appear at the victim’s schools supplying them with vape pens and marijuana. He would then invite the underage girls to his house where police said they found at least 10 videos containing sexual acts.
“The arrest of this dangerous sex offender was made possible by outstanding investigative work by Phoenix Police Detectives in collaboration with U.S. Marshal fugitive task forces in Arizona and Nevada”, said United States Marshal David Gonzales in a press release.
Maricopa County Superior Court issued a warrant for the 56-year-old male after he failed to appear for his court date on Sept. 14. He was facing 20+ years when he cut his ankle monitor off and attempted to flee, according to the statement.
Officials traveled to 1210 Margaret Ave., South Lake Tahoe, Calif. on Friday to conduct surveillance. Golding was identified in South Lake Tahoe, CA riding a bike and taken into custody. He will travel back to Arizona to face his sentencing.
