Man suffers minor injuries in Phoenix house fire

Firefighters in Phoenix pulled a man from a house that was burning Thursday morning and put out the blaze before it did more damage, first responders said.

PHOENIX – Firefighters in Phoenix pulled a man from a house that was burning Thursday morning and put out the blaze before it did more damage, first responders said.

A spokesman for the Phoenix Fire Department said neighbors called about the attic fire near 25th and Dunlap avenues.

Crews said they found a man in his 30s inside the house trying to escape through a window.

The blaze was limited to the attic.

The man was taken to a hospital in stable condition suffering only minor injuries, the fire department said.

Cause of the fire was under investigation.
