PHOENIX– After more than a year on hiatus, Second Saturdays will return to Peoria next month, the city announced in a press release.
The event will occur on the second Saturday of each month from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. through May 14, 2022. It will take place on Jefferson Street and 83rd Avenue in Old Town Peoria.
Every month will have its own theme, kicking off with “The Great Pumpkin” on October 9.
Second Saturdays is a free night market consisting of special vendors, outdoor games, art displays, local pop-up restaurants and live music.
Musical acts Celebration Guns and AJ Odneal will perform in October. The lineup of activities will change each month.
“We look forward to celebrating what the City of Peoria is all about; community, culture, and togetherness,” Marylou Stephens, Arts and Events Manager, said in the release.
Second Saturdays will follow CDC and Maricopa Health Department instructions regarding COVID-19, and event goers are encouraged to follow state health guidelines, per the release.
