PHOENIX — Healthy grocer Sprouts Farmers Market will open a new store in Maricopa on Aug. 25, the Phoenix-based company announced on Tuesday.

The new 23,000-square-foot store will be located at 20300 North John Wayne Parkway and offer the company’s usual items including organic produce, fresh meat and seafood, immune-boosting supplements and plant-based products.

The store will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The first 200 customers when the store opens will receive 20% off their total initial purchase, according to a press release, while every shopper on opening day will get a free reusable canvas shopping bag.

Sprouts Farmers Market is also holding a drawing on its website for local customers of the new location to enter and win a $500 gift card to the store.

The company as part of the lead-up to the grand opening will distribute gifts to the community, including garden starter kits and fresh produce, out of the Sprouts van that will be around Maricopa.

Also, as part of the company’s Food Rescue program, the store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible and nutrient-rich to St. Mary’s Food Bank. The company donated an equivalent of approximately 23 million meals to those in need last year through the program, according to the release.

The new store marks the 45th in Arizona, with the grocer operating more than 360 stores in 23 states.
