Body of missing Arizona man found near Colorado River in Mohave County

PHOENIX – The body of a missing Arizona man was found over the weekend near the Colorado River in southwestern Mohave County, authorities said Tuesday.
William Michael Lewis of Lake Havasu City had been missing since June 19, according to a Mohave County Sheriff’s Office press release.
On Thursday, Lewis’ family called the sheriff’s office to report finding the 62-year-old man’s vehicle parked at a scenic overlook south of Lake Havasu City.
Search and rescue teams began scouring the remote desert area Thursday evening, according to the release.
They found Lewis’ body Saturday morning near the Colorado River.
No other information was immediately available.
Lake Havasu City is about 190 miles northwest of Phoenix near the Arizona-California border.
