4 people in critical condition after crash in west Phoenix

Four people were taken to the hospital in critical condition after a crash in west Phoenix Friday night, authorities said.
The Phoenix Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash involving multiple people at about 9 p.m. near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Firefighters found five people injured when they arrived. Two men and two women were transported to a hospital as “immediate patients in critical condition,” Phoenix Fire said.
A teenage boy was also taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The Phoenix Police Department took over the scene to investigate the crash.
