PHOENIX – Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has announced the addition of a nonstop daily route between Phoenix and the beer-rich city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The Florida-based airlines launched operations in the second-most populated city in the Badger State on Thursday, the company said in a press release.
Spirit’s service between Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and Milwaukee Mitchell Airport begins Nov. 17.
As Arizona makes its way out of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sky Harbor has been busy adding routes and carriers.
Last month, Southwest Airlines said it planned to add year-round nonstop flights between the state’s busiest airport and four Hawaii destinations.
Low-fare carrier Frontier recently began offering nonstop flights three times a week between Phoenix and Atlanta.
Discount airline Allegiant joined the lineup at Sky Harbor for the first time in late May with twice-weekly service to Provo, Utah, and Stockton, California, beginning in October.
Allegiant primarily operates from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
