PHOENIX — Chicago-style pizza and Italian food chain Oregano’s is set to debut a new takeout-only concept in Tempe next month, the restaurant announced.
Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen will debut June 2 at 1705 W. University Dr. and be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to a press release.
The restaurant will host a job fair on Monday at the location from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is looking to employ about 30 people for the concept, with hiring already underway.
Customers can expect the same portions and flavors at the new concept as its 21 other brick-and-mortar restaurants, just without the tables or bar service, according to the release.
“We can’t wait to see our guests’ reactions when we open our doors,” Mark S. Russell, founder of Oregano’s Pizza Bistro, said in the release.
“This location has been in the works for some time as we’ve seen demand grow for being able to eat our food wherever our guests are.”
The concept will feature the complete Oregano’s menu, along with lunch combos and large catering portions, while also offering an expanded selection of bottled Pepsi products.
The company says the Tempe concept will be the first of possibly many Oregano’s Takeout Kitchens.
Oregano’s first opened in 1993 and also has two locations in Colorado.
