PHOENIX — Space is becoming scarce in a multi-use development in the heart of downtown Phoenix as CityScape is 98% leased following a new deal with a law firm.

Commercial real estate company RED Development in a press release last week announced Snell & Wilmer, the largest law firm in Arizona and full-service business law firm in the West, signed a deal to become a new tenant at the mixed-use destination.

The law firm will relocate its headquarters from the nearby Arizona Center and occupy a total of 115,000-square-feet, spanning five floors at CityScape, according to the release.

“Bringing the largest law firm in Arizona to CityScape Phoenix, and with it nearly completing the leasing of the building, is an accomplishment we’re proud to reach,” Mike Ebert, managing partner at RED Development, said in the release.

“Snell & Wilmer has a longstanding history in the Valley and we look forward to continuing to build our relationship as they make CityScape their new home.”

It marks the ninth new tenant in the last year, joining 810 Billiards & Bowling, The Yard Milkshake Bar, Pigtails, Dog Haus Biergarten, Everbowl, One Stop Nutrition, Downtown Phoenix Bike Shop and State 48 concept The Phoenix Bourbon Room that are all expected to open sometime this year.

Other amenities at the multi-use development located on Washington Street and Central Avenue includes a variety of retailers, luxury apartment homes and a hotel.

The deal signed with the law firm was the largest office lease signed in downtown Phoenix during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the release.
