PHOENIX — The redevelopment of a mid-century building in Phoenix is set to debut this weekend with the grand opening of the Fredrick on Missouri shopping plaza.
The office building at 1215 E. Missouri Ave. was transformed into a neighborhood retail center consisting of a cafe and eight small businesses, according to the official website.
Grand opening for the redevelopment, which took more than two years to become a reality, will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Shops include a neighborhood boutique, a children’s boutique and a vintage boutique, as well as a beauty concept, a fine jewelry concept and a floral shop.
People can also enjoy a Hawaiian shaved ice shop and a coffee shop.
A full list of tenants can be viewed online.
The shopping plaza was named after famed architect Frederick Weaver, who designed the building in 1963.
