Avondale Fire Department first responders arrived at the burning home near Encanto and Avondale boulevards around 5 a.m. The woman’s husband was in another room when the fire broke out in their master bedroom.
Firefighters said they found the woman’s severely burned body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An Avondale Police Department spokeswoman said arson investigators determined the fire was accidental but didn’t give a cause.
