PHOENIX – A hotel chain will open the doors to a new Old Town Scottsdale location Thursday.

Canopy by Hilton in Old Town Scottsdale features 177 rooms and boasts approximately 2,000 square-feet of meeting space.

“It’s amazing to see our vision for the hotel come to life as the entire team has put their best effort into embracing the historic arts community while delivering a new destination that will become a gathering place for locals and guests alike,” General Manger Devin Mahoney said in a press release.

The hotel, which takes direction from the fine arts and artisan community around it, is Old Town’s first new hotel in more than a decade.

The location will feature two new dining options, Cobre Kitchen and Cocktails and Outrider Rooftop Lounge.

Cobre Kitchen and Cocktails will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with a Southwest inspired menu. It will also feature a grab-n-go counter with coffee and breakfast pastries.

During the initial open phase, Cobre will have a limited, scaled-back menu.

Located on the seventh floor of the hotel, Outrider features 180-degree panoramic views of the city. The rooftop bar will be open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will also feature limited food and beverage service.

Expanded hours for both hotel restaurants will be announced in the coming weeks.

Reservations are now available for stays after Oct. 1.

Canopy by Hilton opened a Tempe hotel in June and currently has 15 properties across the globe.
