Fox News poll: Biden extends lead over Trump among likely Arizona voters

PHOENIX — In the latest poll by Fox News, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden now leads incumbent Republican President Donald Trump in the Arizona polls as of Wednesday.
According to the poll, Biden currently leads Trump 49% to 40% among likely voters who were surveyed from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1.
Biden’s numbers are up compared to May 30 to June 2 where he led the president 46% to 42% among registered voters.
Arizona is one of three key states that Trump won in 2016 where Biden has passed the president. Biden has seem similar gains over Trump in North Carolina and Wisconsin.
The poll also asked voters who they would trust to do a better job of handling the coronavirus. Biden 52% to 34% advantage over Trump in the latest polling among registered voters, an increase from his 46% to 39% lead in the previous polling.
In recent weeks, Biden has upped his campaign spending on Arizona-based ads in an attempt to flip a state who hasn’t voted Democrat at the presidential-level since 1996.
Trump plans to increase his campaign spending in Arizona by mid-September.
In the coveted Arizona Senate race between Democratic challenger Mark Kelly and Senator Martha McSally, Kelly has extended his lead to 56% to 38% among registered voters over McSally.
Compared to the previous poll, McSally trailed Kelly 37% to 50% among registered voters.
