Man found dead with gunshot injury in parked car in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man was found dead with a gunshot injury inside a parked car in Phoenix on Saturday afternoon.

Phoenix police officers responded to a report of a man appearing to be injured inside a car near 59th Avenue and Indian School Road at 1:10 p.m., authorities said.

When officers arrived, they located the parked vehicle with bullet holes in it and found the man alone inside with a gunshot wound, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

No other information was made immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing.
