East Valley, north Phoenix drivers to deal with weekend freeway closures

PHOENIX — For the second consecutive weekend, drivers in the East Valley and north Phoenix will be slowed by freeway closures, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
In the East Valley, the northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway will be closed from Warner Road to Rio Salado Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement improvements.
The U.S. 60 ramps to northbound Loop 101 and the northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Ray Road will be closed during that time.
In north Phoenix, northbound Interstate 17 will be closed from Cactus to Thunderbird roads from 2 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement work.
The northbound I-17 on-ramps at Dunlap and Peoria avenues will also be closed.

Also in north Phoenix, the northbound State Route 51 ramp to the westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a freeway widening project.
Additionally, the southbound I-17 ramp at Dunlap Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Monday to 7 p.m. Friday for lane striping and a city of Phoenix paving project.
Finally, the northbound Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway ramp to westbound I-10 in west Phoenix will be closed from midnight to 4 p.m. on Saturday for construction.
