PHOENIX — After serving up beer and pub food for 16 years, Four Peaks Brewing Company’s Scottsdale location has closed.
Four Peaks Brewing Company Communications Manager Zach Fowle told KTAR News 92.3 FM in a statement that the Scottsdale closure was a business decision unrelated to the virus pandemic.
“The closure isn’t coronavirus-related,” he said.
“The lease was set to end later this year, and changing trends in the area led us to simply end the lease early. This allows us to focus our resources on the 8th Street pub, the Wilson brewery/event space, and the Sky Harbor pub.”
The Four Peaks’ brewery in Tempe and pub Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport with both remain open along with the Wilson Tasting room.
Despite Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey permitting restaurants to resume dine-in offerings in a limited capacity on Monday, Four Peaks’ 8th Street location announced online it would be taking additional time to coordinate with its staff before reopening.
“Given the size of our building and the complexities of operating a restaurant and brewery in the same space, we‘ve decided to take a little extra time to work with our staff to ensure they can brew and serve you safely,” the statement read.
Four Peaks’ 8th Street location is continuing its take-out options.
