PHOENIX — Online donations to the Arizona GOP last month suggest the party’s finances were boosted by President Donald Trump’s Feb. 19 Phoenix rally.
The Arizona Republican Party announced a 208% increase in money raised online compared to its previous best month, according to a press release.
The release also touts record donations from individuals donors — up 194% from its previous best month.
Of the total money raised, about three-fourths came in the form of small donations averaging $39.
“…Support for President Trump, our Republican candidates, and conservative policies is at an all-time high — and one area we’re seeing that enthusiasm manifest itself is in small-dollar donations to organizations like the Republican Party,” said Arizona’s Republican Party Chairwoman Kelli Ward
The financial boost to Arizona’s Republican Party is also largely due to new donors, 70% of whom were first-time donors in the month of February, according to the release.
