Police seek suspect in shooting death over Westgate parking space

PHOENIX — The Glendale Police Department is seeking information about a suspect after a man was shot and killed Wednesday evening following an altercation in a Westgate parking lot.
Investigators said 31-year-old Tyler Wilson was a passenger in a vehicle when an argument broke with another car at about 7:10 p.m. over Wilson’s vehicle’s attempt to back into a parking spot.
After the argument intensified, the man in the other vehicle fired multiple shots at Wilson before fleeing the scene, police said.
The suspect drove south on 91st Avenue and eluded officers, according to police.
Wilson, an Avondale resident, was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.

The suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous, was described as a 25- to-35-year-old Hispanic male with spiky dark hair who was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt or jacket.
Traffic cameras caught photos of the suspect’s vehicle, a newer model silver four-door sedan with no visible distinguishing markings.
