Police investigating after double shooting in Tempe

PHOENIX — Police are investigating after a double shooting took place in Tempe on Wednesday night.
Police say the incident occurred near Apache Boulevard and Dorsey Lane.
Officers were at Tempe St. Luke’s hospital in reference to an unrelated call when two men entered with gunshot wounds around 7:20 p.m., according to Tempe Police Det. Gabe Gomez.
One subject was said to have life-threatening injuries, while the other is expected to survive.
Initial reports indicate that the victims were involved in an altercation and that other subjects are possibly still outstanding, according to Gomez.
Gomez says that there appears to be no imminent danger to the community at this time.
Eastbound Apache Boulevard is closed at the Dorsey Lane intersection while the investigation is ongoing.
