PHOENIX – There is no such thing as too much pizza and Oregano’s is making sure of that, planning a third location in Scottsdale.
The Chicago-style pizza and Italian food chain will add a site near Loop 101 close to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and expect to open in the winter.
Oregano’s already has restaurants at Scottsdale Road between Thomas and Osborn roads; and Shea Boulevard at 72nd Street.
ABC15 reported the Valley-based company was taking over the space that had been occupied by Zen Culinary. The Asian-fusion eatery closed in late 2017 after a year in business.
The site had remained closed.

The restaurant will take up 6,200 square feet at the Sonora Village shopping center.
Oregano’s opened in 1993.
The chain has 15 other pizza joints in the Valley.
