PHOENIX – The body of a man who fell off a personal watercraft in Lake Pleasant on Memorial Day weekend was recovered earlier this month, authorities announced Tuesday.

The body was discovered July 13 by a boater, according to a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office press release.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner identified the man as 49-year-old Ronald Hylton, who had been missing since May 26.

He was a passenger on a personal watercraft operated by his 22-year-old daughter when both riders fell off in the Bobcat Day Use area of Lake Pleasant, the release said.

Hylton wasn’t wearing a flotation device and was unable to stay afloat.

Despite search efforts by sheriff’s deputies, Hylton wasn’t located until a boater spotted his body nearly two months later in the area southeast of Roadrunner Island and north of the Roadrunner Campgrounds.

There is no evidence of foul play, the release said.
