PHOENIX – Patients across the Valley will be able to access their primary care virtually.

Banner Health and Aetna collaborated with 98point6 Inc. for a health plan to provide an on-demand, text-based primary care service that features personalized consultation, diagnosis and treatment.

Banner-Aetna’s collaboration service with 98point6 will provide 24/7 access to virtual primary care. Members will have access through the 98point6 app.

“With 98point6, we are pioneering a new approach to primary care that will further differentiate Banner-Aetna in the market,” CEO of Banner-Aetna Tom Grote said in a statement.

Banner-Aetna partnered with 98point6 to provide a more convenient in-network referral process to access care.

The new primary care service will begin in July of this year.
