PHOENIX – Cher is giving her Valley fans something to be thankful for this fall.

On Friday, the legendary entertainer announced a metro Phoenix show as she extended her Here We Go Again tour.

The flamboyant singer and star of film and television will perform at Gila River Arena in Glendale on Nov. 23, the Saturday preceding Thanksgiving.

Presales begin Tuesday at 10 a.m., and tickets go on sale to the general public April 5 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Nile Rodgers & Chic, who had massive dance hits in the late ‘70s with “Le Freak” and “Good Times,” will open the show.

Cher, who is a Tony Award shy of the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony), last performed in Arizona at the downtown Phoenix venue now known as Talking Stick Resort Arena in 2014.

At 72, Cher is showing no signs of slowing down.

Her ongoing global tour started in September 2018.

The newly added 14-show North American leg begins Nov. 19 in Portland, Oregon, and concludes Dec. 19 in Dallas.

In addition, she’s been doing a string of Las Vegas residencies since 2017. Her current run at the Park Theater ends Saturday, and she’ll be back at the venue in August and September for another six shows.

Cher’s most recent album is “Dancing Queen,” a collection of ABBA covers released in 2018.

She also starred last year in “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,” the second movie based on ABBA’s music.

We want to hear from you.
