PHOENIX — Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale will remain closed throughout September, the casino announced Friday.
A monsoon storm caused a power outage and forced almost 900 people to evacuate from the resort on the morning of Aug. 11.
The resort has remain closed since. It was set to reopen on Aug. 19, but two days before that date the casino announced it would stay closed indefinitely.
According to a statement released Friday, employees are continuing to work on restoring power. The casino is also taking the opportunity to remodel areas that have been unchanged since its 2010 opening.

The Talking Stick Golf Club’s North Course has reopened, however, and the club is returning to regular business hours.
