PHOENIX — Talking Stick Golf Club has reopened its course and the Wildhorse Grille, the resort said in a news release Friday night.

Outside that positive news, repairs continued at Talking Stick Resort over the week due to a monsoon storm Aug. 11 that forced almost 900 people to evacuate.

The hotel has been unable to restore power distribution sources, which has prolonged the closure.

Rooms on the lower level had the largest amounts of damages, particularly administrative offices, meeting spaces and a cafe. Backup power generating equipment was also damaged.

“Nearly 300 employees and personnel from outside agencies have been working around the clock to make the necessary repairs,” a statement read.

Upper levels including the casino floor and some concert venues were not effected.

Despite this, several acts have been canceled or postponed over the last several weeks. On Monday, the resort announced Labor Day Weekend shows such as DJ Diesel (a.k.a. Shaquille O’Neal) and Zedd would be postponed, along with other acts.

Different activities, including the Arizona State Poker Championship, the Keno Tournament and the Esports Arizona Red Bull Conquest and the Keno Tournament, have also been cancelled, postponed or moved to different locations.

Guests who have slot machine tickets from the casino on Aug. 10 or 11 were allowed to redeem them at Casino Arizona.
