PHOENIX — Chalk up another Arizona trip for Food Network TV host Guy Fieri, whose recent visit to a Mesa restaurant sent his foodie heart to a happy place.
Aloha Kitchen will be featured on Fieri’s popular show, “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” scheduled to air Friday night. The Hawaiian cafe was one of four Arizona restaurants — the other three sites can be found in Tucson — chosen for the show this month.
The episode, called “Rollin’ in the Dough,” focuses on one of the restaurant’s dishes described as “a meaty bun.”
The menu offered a mix of Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese and Korean recipes.
Aloha Kitchen, at Alma School and Guadalupe roads, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fieri has made several visits to Arizona, including stops at three Valley places in October 2017.
During the same episode, Renee’s Organic Oven in Tucson, will bring out “big-time saucy sandwich and spinach-dip calzone,” according to the episode guide.
Other Tucson episodes will take place at Ethiopian restaurant Zemam’s on March 9 and vegan Mexican eatery Tumerico.
