PHOENIX — Arizona officials are asking residents to step forward and donate blood after more than 50 people were killed and at least 520 more injured in a mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The United Blood Services is accepting blood donations at its clinics in Chandler, Glendale, Goodyear, Mesa, Phoenix and Scottsdale. These clinics are expected to have long wait times, so it is encouraged that you make an appointment online.
The Las Vegas operations of the United Blood Services “provided blood and blood products to area hospitals” for the shooting and “stands ready to support hospitals with ongoing blood product needs,” it said in a statement.
