US Marshals rescue missing Arizona girl; 2 suspects taken into ICE custody
Two undocumented Mexican men were arrested on Thursday after U.S. Marshals rescued a missing Arizona girl, authorities said.

Two Mexican migrants were arrested on Thursday after U.S. Marshals rescued a missing Arizona girl, authorities said.
Miguel Mendez-Vargas, 32, and Jose Mendez-Bello, whose age was not released, were taken into custody in connection with the case, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Following their arrests, both were transferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody on federal immigration violation allegations. One of them allegedly assaulted deputies while trying to stop the girl’s rescue.
Violent rescue mission
The girl was reported missing in March. On July 9, members of the U.S. Marshals Service’s WANTED Task Force received a tip about her possible whereabouts. After coordinating with the Phoenix Police Department, investigators tracked her to a residence with several unknown men.
Deputies watched the juvenile while planning how to safely separate her from the men. They found their window of opportunity when she walked away from the residence. Deputies tried to contact her, but Mendez-Vargas intervened, authorities said.
Mendez-Vargas, who had been with the girl, allegedly ran toward a deputy, ignored commands to get on the ground and swung at deputies as they tried to arrest him, according to the Marshals Service.
Authorities said it took a Taser and three deputies to restrain him. After he was handcuffed, he allegedly spit on deputies.
What charges are the two undocumented migrants facing?
In addition to federal immigration violations, Mendez-Vargas faces two federal assault charges.
Homeland Security Investigations is also looking into whether he sexually exploited the girl, authorities said.
The missing girl is currently receiving care from the Phoenix Police Department.
Authorities did not release additional details about Mendez-Bello, other than to say he was arrested and remains in ICE custody.
The two men, who are both Mexican nationals, are currently being held in the Florence Correctional Center, which is around 62 miles southeast of Phoenix.

Still, if you do not drive a car at an ICE agent, you're chances of making it through the day go up DRAMTICALLY.

Per the Brookings institute, ICE has deported around 540,000 people since Trump took office. There have been about 20 + shootings, maybe more? 20 or even 40 divided by 540,000 is very, very, very low. Even though, all 20 or 40 should be investigated and if needed prosecuted and let the evidence out.
