Vandals broke windows and spray-painted graffiti on the Tempe office of Fisher Industries, a federal contractor building sections of the border wall in Arizona, police said.

Tempe police responded Thursday to the office at 1302 W. Drivers Way after a report of criminal damage.

Officers found broken windows and graffiti on the building.

Police said multiple people arrived earlier that morning intending to damage the office. No arrests have been announced.

The department said it will report the incident to the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center as part of the investigation, which remains active.

Who is Fisher Sand & Gravel?

Fisher Sand & Gravel Co. is one of the federal government’s biggest border wall builders. They are also the contractor currently building the border wall at the site of the ongoing tree sit protest in the small border community of Lochiel.

The North Dakota-based company lists its Tempe address in federal contracting records.

In December, U.S. Customs and Border Protection awarded Fisher a nearly $1.5 billion contract to build about 19 miles of double border wall in southern Arizona. The contract also adds detection technology along 136 miles of existing barrier.

The contract was one of five worth $3.3 billion that CBP announced Dec. 18. The money came from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, the tax and spending law President Donald Trump signed last year. Fisher won three of the five, including two in Texas.
