Main Street Minute: Interpreters needed, 2 restaurants open in Phoenix

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday at 7:23 a.m.

• Two restaurants have opened in central Phoenix — the Herb Box and Joe’s Midnight Run. The Herb Box recently began serving near Seventh and Missouri streets, according to the Phoenix Business Journal. The spot seats 140. Joe’s, a retooling of Joe’s Drive-thru Liquors, is up and running near Seventh Street and Bethany Home Road.

• CyraCom is hiring more than 100 Spanish speakers for translation jobs. The language-interpreting phone service is seeing bilingual candidates Thursday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at its main Phoenix office near 50th Street and Ray Road. Walk-ins are welcome.

• There’s a big job fair Thursday in the East Valley with more than two dozen employers on hand. It runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center. Customer service, sales, technology, healthcare and administrative jobs are available.
