The severe weather has caused thousands to lose power as well. After more than 5,000 experienced outages, whether a customer of SRP or APS, on Friday, more than 4,000 people were without power as of 7:50 a.m. Sunday, between the two utility companies.
With rain already accumulated throughout the Halloween weekend, more coming on Sunday and winds picking up, city officials are urging people to drive with extreme caution and to continue to check real-time updates.
