Part of US 60/Grand Avenue reopens after serious crash in West Valley

A portion of US 60/Grand Avenue in the West Valley was closed for about three hours after a serious injury collision Thursday.

PHOENIX – A portion of US 60/Grand Avenue in the West Valley was closed for about three hours after a serious injury collision Thursday, authorities said.

The crash occurred in the westbound lanes at 77th Avenue in Peoria, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Westbound US 60/Grand Avenue was closed from the 75th Avenue/Olive Avenue intersection to Cotton Crossing from around 7:45 a.m. to just before 11 a.m., according to the Peoria Police Department.

The eastbound lanes were not affected.
