PHOENIX – The Easter Bunny won’t have to worry about detours as he makes his rounds in the coming days.
There aren’t any closures scheduled for metro Phoenix freeway improvement projects for the weekend of April 18-21, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).
It’s the Valley freeway system’s first construction-free weekend since the winter holiday break.
Meanwhile, Monday will be the start of National Work Zone Awareness Week.
To mark the occasion, ADOT officials are reminding motorists to stay alert, obey reduced speed limits and be prepared to merge safely while driving in work zones.
