Northbound I-17 at Peoria Avenue has reopened after one person was killed and four others were left injured in a crash Sunday morning, according to authorities.

PHOENIX — Northbound Interstate 17 at Peoria Avenue has reopened after one person was killed and four others were left injured in a crash Sunday morning, according to authorities.

The one confirmed dead was a minor, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

Authorities said it would be a “long-term closure” after the crash near the Cactus Road off-ramp was first reported by the Arizona Department of Transportation around 7:45 a.m.

Southbound I-17 was not affected.
