Northbound Loop 101 reopens in West Valley after single-vehicle crash caused closure

PHOENIX – The northbound Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway in the West Valley reopened after a single-vehicle crash caused an hourslong closure on Friday morning, Feb. 20, authorities said.

The collision occurred after 5 a.m. at US 60/Grand Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

One person was hospitalized in stable condition after a passenger vehicle struck a barrier wall, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The closure lasted through the morning commute and was lifted after 10 a.m.

Southbound Loop 101 was not affected.
