Rush-hour crash causes heavy delays on Interstate 10 in West Valley

A portion of I-10 near Loop 303 in the West Valley was temporarily closed, causing heavy delays, after a Wednesday morning rush hour crash.

PHOENIX – A portion of Interstate 10 in the West Valley was temporarily closed after a crash during rush hour Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Westbound I-10 approaching Loop 303 was fully blocked while the wreckage at Sarival Avenue in Goodyear was being cleared, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The freeway reopened around 7:20 a.m., but officials cautioned drivers about heavy delays in the area.
