EB Loop 101 reopens after short-lived closure near State Route 51 in north Phoenix

A vehicle fire sparked a short-lived closure of the eastbound lanes of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The closure was near State Route 51. Around 15 minutes after announcing the closure, the Arizona Department of Transportation said it had partially reopened.

Loop 101 Pima eastbound is closed near SR 51 due to a vehicle fire.

The westbound lanes weren’t affected by the closure.
