PHOENIX — The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 reopened after a fatal rollover crash in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

Earlier today, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) closed the eastbound I-10 at 83rd Avenue, a closure that was moved from 75th Avenue.

The crash happened at 4:48 p.m. on the I-10 and 79th Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).

The collision involved two cars in which one of the vehicles rolled over.

The driver of the car that rolled over was ejected and died.

The conditions of the other people involved are unknown, DPS said.

No other details were released.

On a side note, people lawfully restrained in a seatbelt aren't routinely ejected from their vehicle.
