Eastbound I-10 at Loop 202 reopens in west Phoenix after crash causes lengthy closure

Eastbound Interstate 10 reopened at Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway in west Phoenix on Sunday after a crash caused a lengthy closure, officials said.

Eastbound Interstate 10 reopened at Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway in west Phoenix on Sunday after a crash caused a lengthy closure, officials said.

The crash occurred at milepost 141, just east of the 43rd Avenue exit, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The closure began around 1 p.m. at the 43rd Avenue exit, but it was extended about two hours later.

The westbound side of the freeway was unaffected.
