In crust we trust: Tandoori Pizza opens 1st Arizona location in Chandler

An Indian fusion pizza chain opened its first Arizona location in Chandler on Friday.

Tandoori Pizza, a California-based brand known for combining Indian flavors with pizza, is now open at 4985 S. Arizona Ave., Suite 3. The restaurant is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The opening marks the company’s first Arizona location and part of a broader expansion into the Southwest, according to a recent company announcement.

Founder TJ Singh said the brand aims to blend the bold spices and flavors of Indian cuisine with a traditional pizzeria format.

“Our expansion is a direct reflection of our customers’ appetite for flavors that break the mold of traditional fast-casual dining,” Singh said in an announcement.

Signature items include tandoori chicken pizza, curry veggie pizza and sides and pasta dishes such as:

• Desi sticks with cheese
• Tandoori wings
• Shahi paneer pasta
• Pesto chicken pasta

CEO TJ Goraya said the company is focused on growing in communities that value quality food, unique dining experiences and family-friendly restaurants.

“We are incredibly excited to open in Chandler and become part of this community,” Goraya said in a separate announcement. “Every new location is more than just a restaurant opening for us, it is an opportunity to serve great food, build relationships, and create a welcoming place where people can gather and enjoy something memorable.”

The opening comes as Arizona’s Spring Restaurant Week also gets underway Friday. The biannual event features about 270 restaurants across metro Phoenix offering limited-time, three-course menus at discounted prices.
