New York-based Prince St. Pizza to open 1st Arizona location in Tempe

Prince St. Pizza will debut its first Arizona location in downtown Tempe on Aug. 28. There will be a DJ and special merchandise for sale.

PHOENIX — Prince St. Pizza, a New York City-based pizzeria, will open its first Valley location next week.

The restaurant will open on Thursday on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe, within walking distance of Mountain America Stadium and Arizona State University’s Tempe campus.

The grand opening will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. Guests will be able to get their first taste of the restaurant’s pizzas while listening to live music from a DJ.

Tempe-themed Prince St. Pizza merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Fixtures of Prince St. Pizza menu

The pizzeria is known for its “Spicy Spring” pizza, which features a spicy marinara sauce, two cheeses and cup-and-char pepperoni.

A few other notable pizzas on the menu include the Prince Perfection, Spicy Vodka Square, Green Machine and Oakey Smokey.

All Sicilian “SOHO” Square pizzas consist of eight slices and are 12 inches by 17 inches.

Other pizza styles offered are Neapolitan and personal-size Pizzettas.

The restaurant also offers desserts, including an Italian rainbow cake and a classic New York cheesecake.

Three sauces — spicy marinara, spicy vodka and house marinara — will also be available for purchase in 24-ounce jars.

Prince St. Pizza opened in New York City in 2012. This will be the restaurant’s 15th location in the U.S. It also has one location in Canada.
