PHOENIX — Until now, pickle lovers in the West Valley have been in a real crunch — but they can officially brine away their blues on Thursday with the opening of Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe.

The Missouri-based restaurant chain will open at the Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale, according to a Wednesday announcement from the company.

It will be the brand’s first location in Arizona, bringing sandwiches, pizzas, soups, salads and mac and cheese bowls to the West Valley.

Franchise owners Matt Frick and Joey Kiekweg said the Glendale restaurant is the first of five Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafés opening in Arizona.

“We’re thrilled to open our doors and finally bring Pickleman’s to Glendale,” Frick and Kiekweg said in the announcement. “Nov. 20 is day one, and we’re just getting started.”

Pickleman’s Gourmet Café is a big step forward for restaurant chain

The Pickleman’s in Glendale marks another first for the company. It’s also their first-ever restaurant inside a shopping center.

Pickleman’s will celebrate its 20th anniversary this fall and plans to open eight to 10 more locations nationwide over the next year.

The company has not disclosed where it plans to open the additional Arizona locations, so until further updates come out, pickle lovers will have to relish the suspense.
