Tokyo-based ramen shop Mensho opening at Westgate in Glendale

PHOENIX — Attention all ramen lovers, the Tokyo-based noodle shop MENSHO is opening at Westgate in Glendale on Saturday.

MENSHO was founded by chef Tomoharu Shono and has approximately 31 locations around the world with eight more expected to open by 2026.

“Glendale is honored to be home to the first MENSHO in the West Valley,” Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers said in a press release. “Their investment speaks volumes about Glendale’s reputation as a vibrant and growing destination for diverse and exciting restaurants.”

When will MENSHO’s hours of operations be at Westgate?

For its grand opening the ramen restaurant will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday as well as Sunday and from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

However, after the noodle shop has been open for the 30 days the hours will expand.

The expanded hours will be:

• Tuesday-Thursday: noon to 10 p.m.
• Friday-Saturday: noon to 11 p.m.
• Sunday: noon to 10 p.m.

The restaurant will be closed on Mondays.

MENSHO’s ramen is made with house-made noodles and local ingredients as well as ones imported from Japan.
