PHOENIX — Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, a food and wine brand with more than 840,000 members, will be opening its fifth Arizona location in Avondale on March 16.
The eatery will be located at 107th Avenue and McDowell Road. The restaurant currently has locations in Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale and Surprise.
It will offer “a contemporary American menu” pieced together by Diego Bolanes and Executive Chef Matt McMillin.
The Avondale site will be able to serve up to 245 guests inside, with the ability to sit another 48 on its covered outdoor patio.
For guests desiring more privacy, it will also have flexible private dining space that seats up to 48.
Some highlights on the contemporary menu include a trio of parmesan-crusted filet medallions with potatoes and asparagus, soy ginger Atlantic salmon with Asian coleslaw and drunken shrimp, which is bacon-wrapped with tequila lime butter sauce and has a side of guacamole.
Each dish has a recommended wine pairing listed on the menu, such as Bin 80, which is described as “a bold, full-bodied red blend,” being suggested alongside the trio of medallions.
Lunch and dinner reservations can be made by dialing 623-267-5577 or online through OpenTable.
Cooper’s Hawk will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
