40 Love, a restaurant and lounge with celebrity ties, opening soon in Scottsdale

PHOENIX – A long-awaited upscale restaurant and lounge with a celebrity pedigree is set to debut in Old Town Scottsdale.

40 Love is scheduled to open Dec. 13, over a year after the original target date. Initial plans called for a spring 2024 launch, but the project experienced construction delays.

The venue, which is named after a tennis score, is located at 7117 E. Sixth Ave., between Stetson Drive and Scottsdale Road. Dinner reservations are now available.

Sean Mulholland and Avery Johnson Jr., cofounders of the 40 Love Group, developed the Scottsdale restaurant in partnership with NFL star and one-time Arizona Cardinal DeAndre Hopkins and Irish singer/songwriter Niall Horan.

“Scottsdale is growing fast, and it deserves a destination that matches its energy — refined, stylish, and culturally relevant. We’re building a space where great food, great people, and great moments all meet,” Johnson said in a press release.

Chef Ryan Pitt is overseeing the menu, which includes an array of appetizers, snacks, entrees and sides, along with a raw seafood bar, high-end signature cuts of beef and craft cocktails.

An earlier version of the concept in Los Angeles is now closed. It was known for celebrity sightings such as Michael B. Jordan, Post Malone and Russell Westbrook.

“We’re creating a high-end, country club-inspired experience that complements the sophistication of the area while offering something completely new,” Mulholland said in the release.
