Frozen yogurt shop 16 Handles to open first Arizona location in Chandler this weekend

PHOENIX — Forget vanilla. How about a French fry flavored dessert?

New York-based frozen yogurt chain 16 Handles is debuting its first Arizona location Saturday, bringing its self-serve dessert concept to the East Valley.

The store at Fulton Ranch Towne Center, which is located near Arizona Avenue and Ocotillo Road, marks the chain’s debut in the state, with additional locations planned for Mesa and Scottsdale later this year.

The frozen yogurt shop will be offering 50% for guests who visit between noon and 5 p.m. on Saturday and 25% all weekend long.

Husband-and-wife franchisees Tom and Teresa Eubanks said they were inspired to bring the brand to Arizona after visiting a 16 Handles location in Hawaii, according to a press release.

“They’re excited to introduce something new to the area and create a space where local families and friends can gather and make memories of their own,” the announcement said.

The shop offers 16 rotating soft-serve flavors and more than 50 toppings. Flavors range from classics like vanilla and Nutella to limited-edition options such as French fry, squid ink, butter beer and keto chocolate brownie.

16 Handles launched in Manhattan’s East Village in 2008 and has grown to more than 40 locations nationwide. The company announced 25 franchise deals across seven states in 2025.
